Carlotta Vacchelli (PhD, Indiana University), after receiving several post-Doc appointments, including a Max Planck Institute- Hertz Library Fellowship in Rome, has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor of Art History at the American University of Rome and at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti of Rome, where she teaches courses on art history as well as on history of comics. She has published many peer-reviewed articles on issues related to Italian and transnational comics and has organized countless exhibitions on Italian comics culture in museums, centers and major comics festivals (Lucca Comics, Comicon, etc.).
