Jonathan Schiesaro is a research fellow at Trinity College Dublin. He previously held positions at the Universities of Bern and Zurich, and was awarded research fellowships from the Universities of Oxford, Ghent, and Bergen. His research focuses primarily on art treatises, historiography, and memoir writing in late Renaissance Florence. His first monograph, Baccio Bandinelli e le anatomie degli scartafacci (Berlin: De Gruyter, 2023), explores the writings attributed to the sculptor Baccio Bandinelli (1495–1560) and the dispersal of his family archive. He has also worked on diplomatic writings, private archives, and genealogical culture in early modern Italy.
