Sara Massafra (PhD Università della Svizzera Italiana, 2023) is a Swiss National Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Massachusetts – Boston. The Ragusa Foundation grant supports her work on contemporary Italian literature in relation to philosophy of science and semiotics, considering the theoretical framework of the environmental humanities as an epistemological model. She has published on Gianni Celati, Andrea Zanzotto, the Oulipo movement, Concrete Poetry, Robopoetics, Italo Calvino and Carlo Emilio Gadda in relation to the philosophy of G. W. Leibniz.
