Mark Pietralunga is the Victor R. B. Oelschlager Professor of Modern Languages and Linguistics at Florida State University, where he teaches courses in Italian and Italian American studies. He has published extensively on topics related to his research interests, which include 20 th century Italian literature and culture, translation studies, postwar narrative, and Italian American studies. His most recent book publication is the translation and critical edition of Italians in America by Amerigo Ruggiero (Bordighera Press) and forthcoming is the volume Cesare Pavese and the Dowling Sisters, and the Film That Never Was (Fairleigh Dickinson Press/Bloomsbury Publishing). In 2019, he received the American Association Teachers of Italian (AATI) Distinguished Service Award.
