Anthony Nussmeier (PhD, Indiana University) is an Associate Professor of Italian at the University of Dallas, where he also serves as Chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, Director of Italian and Chair of the Faculty Senate. Dr. Nussmeier is a scholar of Medieval and Renaissance Italian Culture, centering his research on anthologies of early poetry and early-book culture. He has written articles on Dante, Petrarch, Boccaccio, as well as Guido Guinizzelli and Guittone d’Arezzo, and his work has appeared in journals such as The Medieval Review, Medioevo letterario d’Italia, Bibliotheca Dantesca, La Torre del Virrey. Revista de Estudios Culturales, and Textual Cultures.
